Barring an 11th hour surprise, Jacob Coker will be the only QB in FSU's 2011 class. The 6-5, 210 Coker, rated a three-star by both Rivals and Scout, had a chance to show off his skills Saturday in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game. Check out some game highlights here, starting with a 39-yard TD strike by Coker (starts at the 30-second mark).
Sharing time with another QB (Phillip Rivers brother, Stephen), Coker was 8 of 18 for 79 yards with two INTs. Billed as a pro-style QB, Coker showed some running chops, too, gaining 27 yards on six carries.
Rivals had this to say about his performance in the game:
"Coker...displayed excellent touch on passes downfield and across the middle. He has a refined, quick throwing motion that allows him to get rid of tight spirals that are well-placed to his receivers. His tall, long frame allows him to easily gaze over his offensive line. He has prototypical size and a frame to add significant weight when he gets to Florida State."
