We can do better than this, can't we? I mean, seriously... we can do better than this. I'm not naive enough to dismiss the fact that the FSU cheerleaders have something similar, but I can only hope that it doesn't go to this extent.
The details are disturbing, to say the least, and here's the first-hand account of how each detail of the "Jills" lives were controlled:
For instance, how much bread to eat at a formal dinner, how our nails needed to be clear polish or manicured, our hair done a certain way — this was not only when we were working and in uniform, but in our personal life as well. We were instructed on how to act off the field. And it got pretty gritty too — how to wash intimate areas.
More than anything else, I'm wincing, and praying, that FSU has nothing similar this. Does anyone know a former or current cheerleader at FSU that can compare treatment?
I'll finish with this thought: the guys don't care. The guys never noticed any of these details. We're pretty excited by your uniforms, but don't care about the rest. Smile, of course, and have fun if that's something you enjoy doing. But who is it that's imposing these ridiculous standards? Guys just couldn't care enough about how you dip your bread.
