Several sources are reporting that Mississippi State Assistant Head Coach and TE coach Tim Brewster is the newest member of Florida State's staff.
Like other hires this year, Jimbo went for a veteran assistant. Brewster has been head coach at Minnesota from 2007 to 2010, and has also coached at Purdue, North Carolina and Texas. He was an All Big 10 TE at Illinois and played five years in the NFL. In short, another upgrade from the previous position coach (assuming he coaches tight ends).
Let's hope this is the last hire for the foreseeable future.
