You all know the story. After getting whacked a few years back -- many believe to take the heat off Jeff Bowden -- offensive line coach Jimmy Heggins found a new home with the same title at Kentucky.
With FSU now matched against the Wildcats, Bobby talked about his former player and assistant coach like a proud dad describing a son who just needed a kick in the tail to leave home and excel:
“I am proud of him. I thought he did a great job. And I’m glad for him. I’m glad to see him be successful and I thought he would be.
“But I still want to beat him.”
For FSU fans too young to recall Heggins´playing days, he was an undersized nose guard on Bowden´s first team at FSU. A Sunday buffet short of six feet and 200 pounds, Heggins played like a ...well, like a wildcat for the Noles.
